In 1974, a farmer asked Raymond McEwan to transport his cattle home from market.
Almost 50 years later, as Director of the company alongside his wife Lisbeth, Raymond remains at the helm of the company, continuing to support the family on the day-to-day running of RT McEwan.
Operations Director
Initially joining the company in 2011, with a career break to bring up her family, Raymond and Lisbeth’s daughter Nicky oversees the operational side of the business including transport and warehousing.
Nicky is driven by ensuring excellent customer service, enjoying the challenges and variety of her role.
Director
As Director alongside husband Raymond, Lisbeth has been pivotal to the success and growth of R T McEwan since day one, initially assisting Raymond with the financial aspects of the company.
With extensive knowledge of the company and its customer base, Lisbeth is also overseeing the handover of the company to the next generation of the family.
Financial Director
Louise oversees the financial aspects of the company, with prime responsibility for accounts and payroll.
Having initially joined the company on a part-time basis over 30 years ago, Louise assisted in the Transport department and has a strong understanding of all aspects of the business.
Routinely dealing with both customers and suppliers, Louise is the youngest daughter of Raymond and Lisbeth and, complimenting her financial and administrative expertise, also possesses a HGV Class 2 licence.
Managing Director
As Managing Director, Neil leads the senior management team in developing and executing the company’s business strategies, relationship building with customers, colleagues and collaborators.
After pursuing a career in Engineering in the oil and gas sector, Neil returned to the family business in 1999.
He has since adapted to various roles from the early days of driving trucks, operating the traffic desk, progressing to sales and, latterly, to management.
